Who we are

In the words of musical maestro Stevie Wonder,

“If ten billion hearts would join their love, free would be all nations, joy we need not borrow!”

We are inspired by these words and have a purpose to live them out through our creative innitiative at the TEN BILLION HEARTS FOUNDATION.

Our Vision

Our Vision is, ‘to serve as an inclusive space that skills children with a disability and those who support them.’

So far, we have established three different social enterprises, including the– Billion Hearts Academy, Billion Hearts Farmhouse and Billion Hearts Makerspace. Each of these social enterprises’ creates programmes and services that embody a holistic approach to furthering the inclusion of children with a disability.

Our Mission

Our Mission is, ‘to collaborate with a diverse group of partners in upskilling children with a disability and those who support them.’

Our aim is to widen access to high-quality inclusive education to children with a disability who also face systemic inequity. This makes us the only organisation in Uganda that is focussed on a long-term inclusion approach that supports both the child and the community of carers that surrounds them. Our commitment to collaborate with a truly diverse group of partners creates a sustainable web of actors that enables us to reach more children.
