Our Founders

Our founders Elizabeth and Rebecca believe that,

“aligning with our highest purpose begins with living a life that serves outside of our individual selves.”

Together, Elizabeth and Rebecca are supported by a team of 5 passionate team members in the day-to-day pursuit of this calling.

Elizabeth

“Throughout the years, I have witnessed the miracle of overcoming some really tough times. I find joy in holding someone else’s hand as they journey through their own life miracle.”

Elizabeth Nalwoga Tamusuza.

Currently, Elizabeth resides in Uganda where she leads the Foundation’s team and mentors women and children from different walks of life. Serving as a co-founder at the Ten Billion Hearts Foundation is one of the many hats Elizabeth wears.

Rebecca

“Each passing day, I realise the opportunities that have been afforded to me through the generosity of others. Serving as a founder at the Ten Billion Hearts Foundation is my opportunity to pay it forward.”

Rebecca Nalwanga Tamusuza.

Currently, Rebecca is pursuing a PhD research at the University of Melbourne (Australia), where she explores the social, political and economic dimensions of disability within primary education. This research is tied to the foundation’s vision and mission.
